We’re excited to Introduce our new Click and Collect, Plastic Free Shopping service from Bovey Larder.   With a 10% discount code for June and July so you can give our Online Larder a try,  ZEROWASTE41.

Zero waste shopping the ‘refill’ way can take a little more time, thought and preparation.  So, to make it just that little bit easier, we’ve added an online larder to our website. Customers in and around Bovey Tracey can now shop online and collect in store ‘Click and Collect’.

Many of us have such busy lives that it can be difficult, even for the most dedicated, to maintain zero waste shopping habits.  Time and cost can be big barriers for many, when thinking about shopping in a more environmentally friendly and sustainable way.

Our mission has always been to offer affordable, zero waste shopping for everyday living.  Now our customers can browse and shop online.  They can choose a time that suits them to pop in and collect their plastic free shopping, which will be all ready and waiting for them.

Our Online Larder works just like any other online shop.

  1. Visit https://boveylarder.com/the-larder/
  2. Use the product categories or the search box to find the product you are looking for
  3. Choose the weight or number of items you’d like to order
  4. When you’ve finished shopping, go to checkout and choose a time slot for collection
  5. Add your details and add your discount code ZEROWASTE41
  6. Tick to subscribe to our news, updates and offers
  7. Complete payment
  8. Pop in to Bovey Larder to collect your goodies, which will be all packaged up in paper bags and waiting for you with a smile!

Whilst most of the everyday staples are available such as Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Muesli, Rice, Pasta, Nuts, Herbs and Spices, we haven’t quite managed to get all of our products into the Online Larder yet.  If there is something that you are struggling to find, just pop a request in the ‘Order Notes’, email or call us and we can add it to your order.

We want to help more people to reduce the amount of waste in their shopping and reduce plastic pollution.  Single use plastic is contributing to the current climate change crisis and polluting our seas and land.  Alarming research has now shown plastic in our blood and organs, which could contribute to health issues.  It is time for a change.  Changing our food and household shopping habits, to re-use, refill, recycle and reduce the amount of plastic packaged products we buy, is a huge step that everyone can take to help.

Why are we using more plastic than ever across the globe?  Because it is durable, convenient and cheap to produce, but the cost to our environment from this plastic habit is staggeringly high.  According to Surfers Against Sewage, current estimates show that at least 8 million pieces of plastic are entering the oceans every single day.  Two thirds of this plastic comes straight from land based sources: litter left on the beach, litter washed down rivers and drains, flushed down the loo, industry spills and badly managed landfill sites.

We can help to turn this tide together, by avoiding plastic in our weekly shop, by re-using, refilling and recycling.  If every household in the UK refilled and re-used just one bottle every month, that would save 336 million plastic bottles from being produced ever year!

A little really does goes a long way.  We hope that our little red shop on Fore Street in Bovey Tracey, and our new click and collect service, can make it just that bit easier to make the change for you, your family and the beautiful planet we live on.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.
